David Beardmore's Cranleigh Tiger King was an impressive winner of the stallion class, nevertheless the championship and ticket to the Horse of the Year
Show went to Elizabeth Whitehouse's Saredon Elsinore. A daughter of Metheringham Upton Hamlet out of Saredon Stella, Elsinore (Elsie) is an 8-year-old bay
mare named after the castle where Shakespeare's Hamlet lived. .
In reserve was another 8-year-old bay mare, Sue and Tony Pleavin's Shordley Lady Anna the Second, by Moorfield Manor Mac out of Shordley Cerianna, and
shown by Ceri Pleavin.
