There's no more friendly and enjoyable show in the country than this one, held in the middle of Abergavenny but shaded by tall trees and with a
view of the Sugar Loaf Mountain. .
The junior champion, Colin Horler's Radford Cilla, a black 2-year-old by Metheringham Upton Sidney out of Cowerslane Katy, added the supreme
championship to her list of successes, as well as qualifying for the Horse of the Year Show. In reserve was the senior champion, David Beardmore's
3-year-old black stallion Cranleigh Tiger King, by Rookhills Leapley Lad out of Chorley Sunshine..
The reserve junior champion and reserve senior were both geldings. Sarah Proudlock's 3-year-old Hainton Eardswick Sir Red, by Marieth Major out of
Hainton Eardswick Diamante was junior reserve, and senior reserve was Charlotte Trott's Bettws Forest Lad, by Hill Lodge Linton out of Arclid Starla.
