At Nantwich Show heavy horse lovers enjoyed the sight of Batley Pepper Gray, reigning Female Champion of the National Show and current Shire Horse of the

Reserve Junior Champion was Philip Moss' grey yearling colt Sparkland Rodney, by Catwg Welsh Challenger out of Sparkland Grace. Foal Champion was Matthew
Gregory King's colt Cotebrook Braenach, and the Reserve Foal Championship went to John Whittaker's filly, Knutsford Leah. .
As commentator Delma Nulty explained, the Young Handlers' class was the most important of all, because without young handlers, heavy horses would have no
future. The winner and qualifier for the Young Handlers' Championship was Kayden Barnett. .
Finally, Frederic Robinson's dray led the Grand Parade.
